Goal:
Co-design and oversee the management of the annual holiday catalog. Ensure the catalog is published and distributed on-time and within the allocated budget.
Thinking Process:
1.) Analyze the holiday trends of that period and review the company’s past holiday catalogs.
2.) Collaborate with the designer and printing company to develop unique mood boards featuring fresh styles that were not used previously. Find innovative ways to enhance the catalog’s visual appeal, achieving a more luxurious look while optimizing the budget compared to prior years.
3.) Gather materials and resources from clients who wanted to display their product in the catalog.
4.) Communicate project status and updates to all stakeholders.
5.) Review and edit the final draft prior to printing.
Results:
The final product showcased innovation and style, precisely tailored for perfection. The sales teams found it convenient to carry and distribute to retailers, while retailers themselves deemed its size ideal for display purposes. This edition was more compact than its predecessors, enabling the utilization of superior-quality paper. Remarkably, this marked the first instance where the marketing department concluded with an excess budget of over $2,000, reserved for strategic planning initiatives.
